Favorite Venue: My favorite venue has to be Great Yarmouth for the Nationals finals. About 1100 people in one place screaming and shouting — it gets you buzzing!
Players that have inspired him: Ian Hubbard and Ian Kettel were two of the most solid players around when I was growing up. I always learned from watching them play.
Tips/advice for aspiring players:
Spend as much time on the practice table as you can. Never give up — anything is possible!
Best advice he received from someone:
Play the balls, not the player!

I started playing at 13 and just couldn't get enough of it. Pool, snooker, bar billiards — if there was anything with balls and a hole, I was playing it. I took 2 years out when I was 18 and I still regret it to this day!
I have enjoyed a few competition wins over the years and now I feel that I'm playing some of my best pool. I've never really had an interest in American pool before. I had a few games last year though, and I found it to be a much more enjoyable game. I can't believe that I didn't play it sooner! Next year I will be playing 9 and 10 ball on the T9B Tour in London. I can't wait to get going!
Other Activities Steve Enjoys
Don't really do much now. I used to play football, but I broke my leg in December 2015. That put an end to that. Most of my spare time is spent with the family. Watching my kids grow is just amazing. Football training and matches take up Saturday and Sunday mornings, while my daughter does ballet, tap, and is just starting Irish dancing.
