Dave Dupuis hit his first balls at the age of 15 and instantly felt in love with the game. He learned by playing against the best local players, participating in local weekly tournaments and watching pro pool players videos. A few years later he was able to beat Canada's finest players.

Dave became both provincial junior champion and 9-ball amateur champion in 1990. At that time, his playing time was divided equally between pool and snooker.

In both 1993 and 1994, Dave was invited to represent Canada in the World Team Billiards tournament with Claude Bernatchez, Luc Salvas, Chris Wood, Bill Ganne, Paul Thornley and Paul Potier.

After the birth of his son Nicolas in 1995, Dave put aside competition to become the best father he could be.

In the next 2 decades, a few attempt to return to the game was tried but Dave’s mind wasn’t there for the effort needed to fully come back.

Dave has always share the love of the game by giving lessons and advises. In 2010, in Longueuil (Québec), he organized an event (défi MMX) for local amateur players. The event was filmed and streamed on the internet. 

Today, Dave is now ready to comeback to the competition, his knowledge and experience will show him the road to success.
